Plans have been revealed this week to allow workers in Newmarket town centre to use the top floor of the Guineas car park.
A meeting of the Newmarket Retailers Association this week detailed plans to sell the spaces off to local businesses and is due to be given the go ahead by Forest Heath councillors on Tuesday.
Included within the plans is the provision of 98 parking spaces on the roof of the Guineas car park to be sold to businesses within Newmarket town centre for use by their staff and management at around £250 a year.
Permits will be given out to the businesses interested in the scheme, with 20% of the proceeds from their sale going to the Retailers Association to help support projects aimed at boosting Newmarket's economy.
