Local primary school pupils across Newmarket will be given free workshops that highlight the dangers of electricty.
Organised by UK Power Networking, the workshops outline the dangers of playing near electrical installations and power lines.
Sonya Keating from UK Power Networking explained the importance of educating children to the dangers of electricity early in life: “These workshops ensure children understand the potential consequences of fooling with electricity."
“The children really benefit from the visits and learn valuable safety lessons which will last them a lifetime.”
Local parents can also learn about the potential risk electricty poses to their kids at the UK Power Networks website.
