St Louis Roman Catholic Primary School in Newmarket has been given top rating, with five outstanding features by inspectors from the Office for Standards in Education.

The best report to date for the school has delighted local pupils, parents and staff. Inspectors praised the 'enthusiastic and committed team' that boasted a 'professional attitude to all aspects of teaching.'

The report also praised all 241 pupils for their behaviour and social skills.

Headteacher at St Louis, Teresa Selvey commented: “We are absolutely delighted by this report. It reflects a school community with children’s well-being and development at the centre. That is implicitly what we are about.

“The children did the school proud and so did all members of our extended school community. We know that St Louis is a great place to be but it is good to have this recognised by the professional inspection team from Ofsted.”
