With all the antics of our ‘Broken Britain’ over the summer, it would be easy to enter into a winter of discontent, anxiety and dismay at disruption caused.
Crime figures released today however have shown that Newmarket’s crime figures are down by nearly 8.5%!
There was a significant drop in Anti-Social Behaviour, and also criminal damage and burglary, which is a great boost to the town! This is largely due to the Newmarket Safer Neighbourhood Team, which has proven to be a great success since 2010.
We can all work to make our neighbourhoods and communities safer and more pleasant places to be, and with the help from the authorities and the care we all can give, it has shown that we can all be instrumental in creating a better environment for the future with great success!
