Local young people will be able to throw wet sponges at Policemen on Wednesday and get away with it!
Emergency services from across Newmarket will be taking part in a free event aimed at keeping local children and teenagers safe over the school holidays.
Hosted by Newmarket Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team, the event begins at 2pm on Severals Green.
Police Community Support Officer Lindsey Morgan outlined: “We hope this event will give young people the opportunity to come and meet members of the emergency services and learn more about their roles in the community.
“We are hoping to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance by holding a beat the goalie tournament and the opportunity to soak a policeman in the stocks.”
