Yes, thebestof Newmarket has another Christmas cracker for you this weekend, and it is again in keeping with the more traditional feelings of this festive time of year!
St Mary’s Church in Burwell is playing host to The Christmas Story by Henrich Schutz, which was first performed over 350 years ago. There will also be a range of other famous Christmas music featured, including such songs as Ding Dong Merrily On High, all performed by a fantastic choir and conducted by Matthew Rudd.
There will be stunning singers and a beautiful atmosphere to bring us into the latter weeks leading up to Christmas.
Tickets can be bought in advance for £8.00 or £10.00 on the door, and the performance will begin at 19.30 on Saturday 10th December; you could perhaps head over after you have been to sample the Dickensian Christmas thebestof Newmarket blogged about yesterday!
Check out Schutz for more details on price and location.
