Because 30 is the new 20, and 40 is the new 30, and so on, the need for more activities and the desire to keep fit as we mature along in life is ever greater.
East Cambridgeshire Council has recognised this, and so has created The Mature and Active Programme to provide the solution, and also encourage those perhaps not so ready to put their running shoes back on yet!
The scheme is billed as a chance for the over 55’s to get fit, or stay fit, and includes activities such as, but not limited to Tai Chi, badminton, keep fit to music, table tennis and carpet bowls.
The sessions will take place on Wednesday afternoons at Ross Peers Sports Centre, and refreshments are provided.
So whether you are looking to shed a couple of pounds, get your adrenaline pumping, or maybe just to add to your social calendar, this could be just the ticket to do so!
