Tredegar House is a 17th-century Charles II mansion, and is bursting with a unique history that has cemented its place in Newport’s heritage. A wonderful house, surrounded by gardens and parklands, managed by the National Trust.
A very interesting Manor once owned by the Morgan family of Morgan's Rum fame. The house is a joy to wander around with it's wonderful period decor and knowledgeable staff. The grounds are also a real treat to explore, especially on a summers day with an ice cream. My family and I usually start off in the cafe for lunch and spend the rest of the day soaking up history.
