If you find any old paper £5 notes after this date, don't worry - you can just take them along to your bank, building society or local post office and they should be able to exchange them for you.
We will start to see new plastic £10 notes this summer, and the old paper £20 note will be replaced by a plastic note in 2020.
March this year saw the introduction of a new style £1 coin (made in Wales) and the old style round £1 coin will cease to be legal tender from the middle of October. Make sure you have spent all of yours by then! Time to empty the money box and change them all over!
