Established since 1983 the Diwan-e-Am is one of Hexham’s longest established Indian restaurants and we pride ourselves in providing only the very best Indian dishes, traditional and contemporary, with only the finest spices, fresh fruit and vegetables.
We chose the name Diwan-E-Am to welcome all Hexham’s food lovers to our Indian restaurant where every dish has its own impact and our chefs love to adhere to the traditional methods of cooking to bring out the richness of the Indian cuisine.
Over the years other Indian restaurants have joined us to serve the residents and visitors to Hexham; however we have strived to deliver our mission:
‘To consistently provide quality Indian food using the finest herbs and spices with a friendly, reliable service to match.’
Our rigorous adherence to this statement has allowed our restaurant to become one of the finest Indian restaurants in Hexham and Northumberland and ensured its continued existence where other restaurants have come and gone.

Sunday 6.00 to 10.30pm
