Gary Cockaday is the MD of Norfolk based 4SPorts Group. Here is this week's blog:
"I know I have said this before … but sometimes I wonder where the time goes; working 6 days a week, often long days - the days, weeks and months just disappear – but I guess every small to medium size business owner knows that feeling!
If you’re not selling, working and paying, hopefully in that order, countless hours are lost to the mundane paper chase that is her Majesty's Government!
I am very lucky with my team; who day in day out turnout beautifully finished kits, staff & workwear and trophies, each job having to pass our own self imposed quality control; we have a simple philosophy - if we’re not happy we don’t expect a client to be! This probably explains why we work with some of the biggest & best in the County!
This week we have sold 2 cricket kits with a 3rd about to be ordered by a new team, a new team to us, and have quoted 2 new football opportunities, one club unhappy with past supply and a new academy together with several new businesses wanting workwear … Summer is coming apparently as we have shifted from fleeces, hoodies and jackets too polo’s & t-shirts
Our choice is huge, every catalogue on our www updated within days of being launched … I recall mystery shopping a new competitor to be told that they had no customer catalogues for me to take-away … I couldn’t help myself but to point out that the shop copy was ‘so last years’!
When asked by Sara to write a few words … I hesitated, wondering if worth the time, but can look back on several quoting opportunities generated by words like these – so whilst they are read I will continue …
Today; we have 200 polo’s going through the workshop for Norfolk County Council, 3 kits, hundreds of trophies and some rather special ribbons to be tied to the County Cups to be played at Carrow Road – just as lovely as anything seen on TV.
Have a lovely day … if you want to buy staff wear, workwear, sports kits, corporate gifts or trophies pop on over for a chat over a cuppa."
