So, our second networking event in Norwich "an evening with thebestof" went off well the other day.
We were expecting 74 people but were competing with the weather, flu bugs and, more importantly, the football - so we were down to 54 people on the night. That is still a major achievement, though, on a cold January evening.
The theme was "fingerprint networking" - one of our clients, Right Angle Events who run csi corportate entertaining and events, tailored it to our event. Attendees could dust for a fingerprint and then visit the stands to find out who "stole" the hotel bathrobe.
The 25 stands easily filled the large ballroom at the Holiday Inn Norwich-North, which is has some of the largest banqueting facilities in Norfolk, and we were pleased to welcome stand holders such as Triangle Health and Fitness, based at the Holiday Inn, Sprowston Manor Hotel, the Maids Head Hotel, Signs Express, Leeway, Atlas Cosmetic Medicine, Kall Kwik, The Norwich Massage Centre, Cranio sacral therapy, City College and many more.
We picked up our son from school beforehand - he told his teacher he had to leave on time as he had to go to a business meeting! He loved the event so much, he insisted on doing the prize draw at the end.
The Holiday Inn kindly donated a prize of a table for 10 at one of their open tribute nights. The prize was won by Gavin from Signs Express, together with a teddy bear. After wondering whether he had enough friends for the table of ten (only joking, Gavin), we hear that the staff at the Signs Express office in Norwich are expecting a great night out.
