Tonight our party of 6 (5ad + 1 ch) visited Piri Piri Ormskirk for the first time, to celebrate a birthday. First the staff -welcomed us at the door, were attentive but not intrusive, polite, friendly, helpful & curteous. Second the place - it was v quiet but early, relaxed but not too casual or formal - just nice. Thirdly the food - absolutely delicious. Plenty of piri-piri chicken(hot or lemon&herb), pork belly, sirloin steak & kids pizza. Everything was beautiful - served with rice & chunky chips & salad - very generous portions cooked and flavoured beautifully. The starters were also generous and tasty and the fresh desserts fantastic. Free house red with sunday a la carte, plenty of sagres and sumol! The price was also fantastic and some of the weekday offers look great.
I have never felt inclined to review a restaurant before but this deserved it - pop in and try it. We will certainly be returning again and again.

A bit disappointed with the tuna pate as it was clearly just tuna mayonnaise in a fancy shape! Plus the lack of draught lager was a negative. However, the main course of steak was cooked to perfection & the chips were deliciously homemade. The staff are the most friendly I have come across in Ormskirk & the manager/owner was most helpful. Will definitely visit again.
