Representatives from Oswestry charity, Qube has been invited to Westminster Abbey by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for the Armistice Centenary Service.
After a successful Charity Market in June, Qube and Oswestry Town Council will be holding another volunteer recruitment and fundraising event on Friday 7th September which will take place on the Bailey Head.

Local charity, Qube, is seeking the help of local families to help carry out research into the lives of the town’s WW2 heroes. Last month Qube launched ‘Men on the Gates’, a website to commemorate those who lost their lives during the First World War.
Come along and support Oswestry’s Charity Market where you can find out what activities there are running in Oswestry. The Market will take place on the Bailey Head on Friday 8th June. This popular event supports local charities and community groups in helping them promote their services and recruit new volunteers so they can continue the important work that they do.
Old Oswestry was once the stronghold of the Celtic tribe known as the Cornovii, but earlier this month a new band of citizens took command of its formidable ramparts for the day.
This year's Montgomery Canal Forum will be held at Oswestry Golf Club, Queen's Head, Oswestry SY11 4JJ, a short distance from the canal, on Monday 3rd July, at 2.30pm.
