BT have announced that Oswestry will be one of the 41 Market Towns chosen are part of their rollout of Superfast Broadband, or BT Infinity as the service is known.
Effectively, this is a doubling of broadband download speeds upto 40Mb/s. Though upload speeds range from 2Mb/s to 10Mb/s depending on the package.
How much this will benefit Oswestry businesses and domestic customers will depend greatly on set-up and location with respect to the network.
Some businesses may well benefit from video streaming and gaming facilities.
