The New Saints Football Club has won the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League, after beating Carmarthen Town 3-0.
As well as being crowned as the league champions, TNS have guaranteed that UEFA Champions League football will once again be coming to Oswestry.
The New Saints will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season The result leaves The Saints with a 16 point advantage at the top of the table, with Airbus only having five games to play.
The New Saints of Oswestry Town FC have ensured back to back Welsh Premier League titles and will now go into next weekend’s FAW Welsh Cup semi-final against Bangor City, full of confidence.
The Oswestry based club have now won the WPL on seven occasions and will be able to look forward to the UEFA Champions League draw.
Mike Harris praised all of the hard work this season and said that, ‘Winning the league is testament to all of the hard work that Craig and Carl have done. They have both worked tremendously hard in the last 12 months. It has been a terrific season!’
TNS, who have now caught up with Barry Town’s seven league championships, have won an astonishing six league titles in the last nine seasons!
