A lawyer, with 30 years legal experience, most of which has been spent working in the local property market, has been promoted to Partner at Lanyon Bowdler.
David Foden, a Chartered Legal Executive, has been dealing with residential conveyancing and related property transactions for the last 27 years. He headed LG Solicitors' (formerly Longueville Gittins) Residential Property Department, prior to the merger with Lanyon Bowdler in May 2010. He will continue to head the firm’s Residential Property Department which has teams at all the offices throughout Shropshire and in Hereford.
It has only been during the last four years that firms of Solicitors have been permitted to make Legal Executives partners. David joins just a couple of hundred qualified Legal Executives, who have been invited to join partnerships in other law firms across the country.
Partner and Board member Emma Wilde said “David has always been a highly regarded and motivated lawyer who is well respected amongst his peers and local professionals. Throughout his time at LG Solicitors he headed a very successful and progressive thinking Residential Conveyancing Team. Since the LG Solicitors’ merger with Lanyon Bowdler David has successfully developed the Residential Team and gone the extra mile to manage a larger team across a far wider area. This is a well deserved and quite ground-breaking appointment and we offer our congratulations on this achievement.”
David sits on the Land Registry Advisory Council representing the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Oswestry and is a past President. He lives at, and helps run the family farm in the Snowdonia National Park.
