Plans are afoot for a new Oswestry Innovation Park at Mile End Roundabout. The existing Shropshire Council prospectus is a call for investment on 23 hectare site.
Oswestry is sold to potential investors as follows:
"Oswestry is a vibrant border market town with an attractive centre containing many fine timber-framed buildings and a large number of independent shops serving a wide catchment area. Key attractions include the world-famous Iron Age fort and annual food festival."
So, it would appear that Shropshire Council see the world-famous iron age hillfort known as Old Oswestry as a draw for investment. Then why do they persist in attempting to devalue this ancient monument by building within its setting against national planning frameworks?
This site would be over the road from the large Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE) residential development along Shrewsbury Road on the left as you come to the roundabout.

A quick introduction - I'm John Waine, Director of TheBestOfOswestry. Having lived in this beautiful area for around 20 years now, I have decided to stay. :)
With kind thanks
