OWL (short for Oswestry Writing Lab) is open to anyone from around the area who has an interest in writing; whether they actually write, are thinking about starting to write, or would just like to listen to new writing from others.
They are a welcoming group from 17 to 70 who meet fortnightly on Wednesdays in The Bell Hotel from 7pm.
On Friday, they launched their first publication: OSWORDS - a collection of writing from the group including poems, short stories and a literary crossword to boot!
Issue 1 Autum 2011 is available from OWL for just £2 - a snip.

A quick introduction - I'm John Waine, Director of TheBestOfOswestry. Having lived in this beautiful area for around 20 years now, I have decided to stay. :)
With kind thanks
