Once again leading Oswestry law firm Lanyon Bowdler has received numerous endorsements by The Legal 500.
The firm has been recommended in the 2013 edition of the directory for 11 areas of work, with elevation to Tier Two for agriculture and recognition as one of the top five West Midlands firms, (which includes Birmingham), for personal injury.
Emphasising the firm’s personal injury capabilities, the directory says: “The ‘very conscientious team’ at Lanyon Bowdler continues to recover large awards in high-value multi-track cases, and has particular expertise in acquired brain injury, spinal injury and amputation claims, and also in cases involving accidents abroad. The ‘very caring’ Neil Lorimer heads the practice.”
In other areas, the directory highlights several key individuals and their teams, such as the dispute resolution department where it refers to Lanyon Bowdler as the ‘premier firm in Shropshire and its environs’, and refers to Brian Evans as ‘commercially astute’. John Merry, partner and head of the employment department, ‘finds solutions to complex problems’ and partner Kay Kelly is recognised to be ‘very knowledgeable’ in her role as head of the clinical negligence team.
Managing partner, David Battisby, said: “I am very pleased to see improved rankings for our agricultural team, and I am delighted our personal injury team sits in the top five for the West Midlands. As ever the successes are really down to the expertise our lawyers have to offer, their teamwork and the supporting references kindly provided by our clients.”
The firm has been recommended by the UK Legal 500 in the following categories: Corporate & Commercial; Crime; Commercial Litigation; Debt Recovery; Employment; Clinical Negligence: claimant; Personal Injury: claimant; Agriculture & Estates; Family; Personal taxes, Trusts & Probate and Commercial property.
