JELLY - a funny name, but a worldwide business phenonemon has arrived in Oswestry and found a perfect home at The Ironworks on Church Street.

Last Wednesday, I - along with other SME folk, turned up to discover what co-working is all about.  In Jellyease...

"Jelly is a casual monthly co-working event, where homeworkers, freelancers, small business owners and office based people, who want a change of environment once in a while can get together with their laptops once a month to have a change from their usual working environment." according to Jan Minihane, JAM Consulting, the "Jelly Queen" who brought the concept to Shropshire.

One after another, people turned up, got to know each other and quickly got down to work.

A key feature of Jelly is what it is NOT - and it is NOT networking, NOR Sales.

Though it is, a brilliantly simply way for those who often work alone, to get together once a month and share their workspace with others - and yes, you can chat, share ideas, solve problems and so on.

For myself, I was designing a range of graphics, and the feedback from the other attendees was invaluable.

The Oswestry Jelly is brilliantly organised by Heather Noble of Salt Events.  She is keen to develop it into a productive and fun business resource.

The Ironworks offer the perfect venue - superb building, great atmosphere, plenty of space for co-working and meetings, great WiFi access, tasty food and drinks...and right in the heart of Oswestry.

Everyone was full of praise for the venue and the quality of service!

To find out more about The Ironworks as a venue for your own business meetings and get-togethers, give Adam or Steve a call on 01691-679123.

As Jan would say, "...if you ever feel isolated in your home office/work office and want to meet some other like-minded people in a different work environment, then JELLY is for you. It's free so jump on in and give it a try!"

To find out more, and book the latest event, go to EventBrite and search for "Jelly" and "Oswestry".
