Planning for The Oswestry Festival of the Word 2010 ~ Written, Spoken & Sung continues apace. Here is a brief update of where we are at.
The festival team is in place and the programme is beginning to take shape. The festival will begin officially on March 18th - a significant date in the Oswestry literary calendar being the day Wilfred Owen was born in 1893 - thank you to Ian Collings, Attfield Theatre Group for suggesting such an auspicious day.
The festival will run across the 13th-20th March and also include events running up to and after these core dates.
Our intentions are to have:
That's all for now. Spread the word! If you are in a writing group, get in touch. If you would like to be involved in some capacity, get in touch. If you'd like to sponsor an event, that's good too.
Looking forward to the dawn of a new cultural festival in Oswestry that celebrates the word - written, spoken & sung.
See you there,
John
