Goeff and I have been members at Studley Wood for 10 years, for the last three years this club has been owned by Mr Ian Darby and Mr Ken Heathcote. These two gentleman have put their heart and soul into making this good golf club into a great one.
The course is very challenging and whilst we are very loyal we can, with hand on heart, say that Studley greens are the best for miles around.As with any other course there are on going repair and maintenance issues, however these are being dealt with as and when funds allow.
Off the course there are excellent practise facilities, and these are regularly used for junior and county classes.
The clubhouse, whilst compact, is perfectly formed and caters for the everyday requirements of the club memebers as well as those special events like Birthday/Christmas parties.
Clum member are extremely friendly and encouraging and if you are looking to join a friendly, active club with a great social life then Studley wood's for you.

This is one of the friendliest and finest courses in Oxford. No petty officialdom or ridiculous rules, typical of many clubs, Ken and all the staff make it their business to ensure that you enjoy your day out. You will find the pro shop, the bar and kitchen staff to be friendly and helpful and the course is beautiful and well tended. Ken and his team are the friendliest bunch. They take great pride in their work, always have a smile and you get a genuine welcome whenever you turn up be it for golf, function or meal. The course is stunning with lakes and hills. Play around daybreak or dusk and see the stag and their entourage wander across the fairway. Fantastic.

The first time I stood on the 18th tee at Studley Wood it was a beautiful summers day and I was completely blown away by the panorama before me. I could easily have been playing the best of Spain or Portugal. The course never fails to challenge, the clubhouse is friendly (and not in the least bit stuffy (like some I could mention))and you can even get a decent pint. Love it !

I've been a member of Studley Wood since its inception. The course was always good, but in the last couple of year's the focus on maintaining and improving it, rather than simply making it more difficult, has paid wonderful dividends. It's a great course, in great condition and with the kind of relaxed atmosphere in the club house that makes it a pleasure to visit.
