Wings of Change, will be displayed for a week from Tuesday 6 to Sunday 11 September 2011.

Photographic images from David Fisher of performances, workshops and behind the scenes activities are to be mounted throughout the premises from the Pullman Stage theatre space to the dressing rooms and studio spaces. Film and video maker Anne-Marie Sweeney has created a number of short films for screening alongside the photographs in the main spaces at the venue showing life and art in the organisation’s new surroundings.

Pegasus in East Oxford underwent a major facelift and refurbishment a year ago thanks to the contributions of local donors alongside funds from trusts, businesses, government and local authorities. Since re-opening, the venue has been able to double its output and branch out into new areas thanks to the flexibility built into each space within the building.

This latest exhibition is a companion to one held at Pegasus before its closure in October 2007 Off Stage... a theatre at work again by photographer David Fisher, which was a collection of black and white images showing the daily life backstage at the theatre alongside the glossy, colourful photos of productions on the Pegasus stage.

Wings of Change will be on display during the Open Doors Weekend and be one of the many opportunities to see behind the scenes at an iconic Oxford building.
