Can you help the Museum of Oxford to tell the story of the city through objects?
The Museum is calling on the people of Oxford to contribute to its upcoming exhibition, 40 Years, 40 Objects: Celebrating the Stories of a City and its People. To take part, all you need is an object, document or photograph which is important to you and has a connection to Oxford from the last 40 years. From a sporting trophy to a hat worn on May Day… it can be anything at all!
Just bring your object to The Old Museum and tell us about it. A team of Museum staff and volunteers will record your story and digitise your object. Your object will be digitised while you wait and returned to you on the day and the digital version will be shared with visitors to the Museum’s galleries and users online.
Your stories and memories make up Oxford’s history… help us to bring that history to life through your objects!
