Do you run your own business?
Are you bogged down in the day to day running of it?
Are you too busy to focus on your marketing needs?
Would you like an expert to work on the nitty gritty?
Maybe you’ve got the basics, a website but would like to get more from it. Trevor and his team at Modern Print and Design understand the needs of business and are the experts in creating high quality marketing materials.
They understand most website photographs do not have a high enough resolution to use in commercial printing. This is because computer monitors create their picture by using different colours of light, which make them forgiving to low resolution web images. Web designers also use low resolution images because they take up less memory and this speeds up the page download time.
Printed images, however, produced on a press use ink pigment, which show up every imperfection that a photo has. A typical website photo is saved at only 72 dpi (dots per square inch) but a printed image must be saved at a minimum of 300 dpi.
If your image is then going to be enlarged it must be at a higher resolution still! When the photo size is enlarged the dots making up the picture remain the same, its just that they have been stretched further apart which reduces the resolution its clarity.
When you take a digital photograph to use on your printing, make sure your camera is using the highest resolution setting that it has!
Trevor and the team are on hand to help you achieve the highest standard of commercial printing for you and your business. They will take the whole task off of your hands.
