  • Aberbach Beach,

The meaning of the word Aberbach stands for little river mouth. Aberbach is a relatively narrow cove that faces west towards the Irish Sea. Although Aberbach is a small pebble beach, when there is a low tide, golden sand can be seen on the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year long. The beach is located 3 miles away from Fishguard along the coast to St David’s. Legend has it that a local farmer captured a mermaid at Aberbach and convinced her to marry him.

Parking

Although there is parking available by the beach it is extremely limited. People can park on the roadside situated above the beach.

Facilities

There are no facilities on the beach itself. For the nearest facilities people will have to go to Mathry where there is a pub.

However for a much greater choice, the best option is to go Fishguard where hotels, b&b’s guesthouses caravan and camping sites can all be found there.
