A tidal island in one of the most popular seaside towns in Pembrokeshire, Tenby.

History

  • It has been recorded that during the battle of Hasting back in 1066 a small fort occupied castle hill. 

  • Sometime after that it has been thought that St Catherine's Island was established as a place where Christians can worship by the creation of a small chapel that was built on the island.

Opening Times

  • As St Catherine's is a tidal island, access to the island is restricted to 3 hours after a high tides and lasts for about 6 hours.

  • Saturday: 13:00 - 16:30

  • Sunday: 14:00 - 16:30
