Sunday 4th May saw hundreds of spectators line the banks of the River Welland for the annual Deeping Raft Race, in which local people and businesses took to the water in a vast array of different rafts to raise money for charity.
Awards were handed out to the winners of the under 16's race, the ladies' race, men's race, fun race and the pub race, as well as a medal for the best decorated raft.
The theme of the event was a Hawaiian beach party, and many of the event-goers dressed accordingly, however there were others dressed as smurfs, in military camouflage, and as Olympians and superheroes, celebrating a fun-filled and unique event.
