It's not every day that a pop star can be found on a Peterborough air base, but that's precisely where Brit Award winner Ellie Goulding was last week to film the video to her upcoming single "Burn".
The Critics Choice winner at last year's Brit Awards was accompanied by around 150 extras and a film crew for what was described as "an ambitious shoot" over the course of one day at RAF Wittering.
Very few people at Wittering were actually aware that Miss Goulding would be putting in an appearance on the base until the day of the shoot, something which Commanding Officer, Group Captain Damian Alexander admitted was not easy to keep secret.
The video was shot by accomplished producer Sean Stuart of NTSH London, who described the shoot as going "like clockwork".
Staff at the base were delighted by the surprise, and touched by the fact that Ellie took time out of her busy day to meet with those who assisted on the day.
The single "Burn" is released on August 11, but the video can already be seen on Youtube.
