Two months left to apply for REMake support package

There are just two months left to apply for WRAP Cymru's REMake programme of support for manufacturing SMEs. The deadline for completed applications is 31 March 2012.

REMake provides free advice and guidance to SMEs which want to assess the feasibility of using recycled materials in their products or packaging. Eligible businesses get up to £17,000 worth of tailored advice from specialist business consultants with experience in their sector.

How does REMake work?

REMake is aimed at businesses which may be in the very early stages of considering whether they would benefit from using recycled materials, as well as those which have already decided to use recycled materials but want help with integration.

If your business is eligible for support you will be paired with a specialist consultant who will work with you to investigate whether your business would benefit from using recycled materials.

Even if they advise that you would benefit you don't need to commit to doing so. You do not pay for the advice, and there is no obligation to make the change if you do not feel that it's right for your business.

How do I cover the cost of new equipment?

In many cases, incorporating recycled materials into your products can help reduce costs. Sometimes, however, businesses need to make a short-term investment in new equipment to help them make the change.

If you want to use recycled materials in your products there may be capital funding available to help you cover the costs.

How do I apply?

If you want to apply for REMake support, you will need to complete an application form. Call 029 2044 8090 to speak to a WRAP Cymru Business Support Manager, who will help you with the application process, and advise you on what additional support you may be eligible for.
