The BSO Proms in the Park return to Meyrick Park for another fantastic weekend of music, fun and fireworks with two spectacular open-air concerts! On Friday 26 July we have our Classical Extravaganza featuring some of the best classical music ever written - including excerpts from Carmen, Scheherazade, Romeo and Juliet and popular movie soundtracks by Williams and Zimmer. Plus masterpieces by Johann Strauss, Bach and Grieg and an explosive finale with Wagner's rousing Ride of the Valkyries.
On Saturday 27 July, our Disco Symphonic Spectacular will be an exciting celebration of seventies disco hits, complete with disco band and star singers, including Clean Bandit regular, Kirsten Joy. Dance the night away to hits by the Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire, Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor and many more!
