This Saturday we spent a very hot few hours walking up and down Albert Road in Southsea meeting the shop owners, and putting "Shop Local" campaign stickers in the windows of like minded businesses. Martyn Evans did the Meet and Greet, chatting to nearly 300 shop or business owners on what was most likely the hottest day of the year so far. such dedication to the High Street can only bode well for the future. Martyn is pictured in Kingston Domestics, who buy, sell and repair domestic appliances such as fridges, washing machines and cookers, and have several shops around the city. Among other shops that took an interest were cycle shops, hairdressers, newsagents, antique dealers, record shops and cafes.
