That's the message we want to spread as a business backing Preston. This new initiative is part of a national survey into how people use their local high streets - and how we can make them more successful.
As a champion and showcase of scores of Preston businesses we think we've earned the right to ask these questions and push for further improvements in our city centre.
Many of our businesses will be carrying stickers urging customers to spend more time and more money in local independent stores.
