Glee, the US phenomenon, that is on our screens on Sunday evenings on Channel 4 or E4 on Monday has become my new guilty pleasure.
Glee follows an optimistic secondary school teacher as he attempts to inspire an oddball group of students to realise their star potential and restore the school's show choir - the glee club - to its former glory. The pupils who join the club are: Mercedes, who believes she is the new Aretha Franklin; Kurt, the fashion-conscious falsetto; Tina, a punk rocker; Artie who plays guitar and is bullied for being geeky and the diva-in-the-making Rachel.
Along with this great cast comes a great soundtrack as each week the Glee club performs various hits of now and years gone by. My favourite is their rendition of Journey's Don't Stop Believin' which is currently rising in the charts.
I may be well out of my teens but this is great indulgent TV!
