Motorists are sharing their wheels to save money, cut stress and reduce congestion as part of a new scheme.
Almost 3000 people in Lancashire have signed up the Shared Wheels website where you can find people who make similar trips to share lifts with.
The more people who register on the site, the more there is a chance of finding suitable motoring matches. Travelling with others can save up to £1000 a year and even car-sharing once a week will save you money and reduce wear and tear on your car.
Shared Wheels is not just about the journey to work - it can help plan trips to the shops and sporting events. Businesses can also use it to develop their own private groups on the site.
The scheme has been developed in partnership with Lancashire County Council, Lancaster University and district councils in the county. You can find out more about the scheme by visiting www.sharedwheels.co.uk
