Reading Cricket Club is one of Berkshire’s premier sports clubs, as evidenced by its recent ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) Club Mark status award.
This is an important award to the club, as it is a requirement for any club that wants to maintain it's place in the top divisions of the Home Counties Premier League and the Thames Valley League.
Well-managed, effective and child-friendly, Reading Cricket Club has adopted the ECB's 'Safe Hands - Welfare of Young People in Cricket' policy, showing it's commitment to ensuring that young people who play at Reading Cricket Club have a safe and positive experience of the game.
The club coaches are fully qualified, trained in First Aid and fully CRB checked.
Reading Cricket Club is accessible to all members of the public and men, women and children are all welcome, whether you wish to enjoy the sport as a spectator or find out more about playing.
Members compete in Men’s, Women’s and Colt’s leagues during the cricket season (May – Sept). There is also a side that competes in the Three Counties Sunday League.
Colts Cricket
the stars of the future!
Reading Cricket Club has been very successful in developing their ‘colts’ through the Reading Cricket Club Academy and the club have 8 teams in the Berkshire Youth Cricket League playing at U17, U15, U13, U11 and U9.
With their safety in mind, all players must wear a helmet, boys must wear abdominal protectors and there are restrictions on fielding positions.
