The media call it the "credit crunch", banks and building societies are reported to be struggling and suffering losses and the housing market seems to have hit a low. Money is certainly tight for most people at the moment and with the rising prices of almost everything around us pennies have to be watched. I even read a news article on the web recently where a dog shelter have reported a rise in the number of dogs being handed in because their owners can no longer afford to look after them.
