Home Park
The grounds of Hampton Court Palace occupy 600 beautiful acres of parkland alongside the River Thames. Magnificent avenues of lime trees radiate from the Palace, and beyond the East Front Gardens is Home Park, with the great canal or Long Water dug for Charles II in the 1660s. Home Park contains a wide variety of flora and fauna, including a majestic herd of fallow deer, and a single oak tree from the original Park, probably dating back over a thousand years.
Amidst this quiet serenity is the wonderful 250 acre Hampton Court Palace golf course, in surroundings you'll never grow weary of. It's hard to believe that the hustle and bustle of Richmond - and indeed Central London - is so close.
The Golf Club
Hampton Court Palace Golf Club boasts a par 71 traditional inland links course measuring 6,514 yards off the Championship tees. The mostly parkland terrain makes for easy walking and year round golf is virtually guaranteed. Willie Park, (who also designed Sunningdale Golf Club and Temple Golf Club), did not create too many easy golf courses and Hampton Court Palace Golf Club is no exception.
The course is unusual in that 7 holes are inland links and the remainder are parkland. Your score might vary from round to round but one thing will remain constant - you will never grow weary of the magnificent surroundings. The course is a thrilling mix of parkland and inland links style holes. It is creatively balanced, challenging and beautifully unique, with three finishing holes that rank amongst the best.
When it comes to getting away for a peaceful game of golf, there's nowhere better.
At Hampton Court Palace Golf Club we pride ourselves on providing high quality golf and service at a reasonable price. Our subscription and joining fees reflect the reputation and ambience of Hampton Court Palace Golf Club, providing value for money, whilst ensuring the ongoing success of the Club.
