Ruils Independent Living is a user-led charity working across four boroughs in SW London (Richmond, Wandsworth, Kingston and Hounslow) supporting disabled children and adults and people with long term health & mental health conditions to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full. They provide information, advice, advocacy, befriending and activities to clients and their families.
Ruils delivers a range of holistic, outcome-focused services that remove the barriers to living an independent life.
Getting the right start
Children’s services provide parents with information, advice and support to enable them to get their young person with additional need and disabilities the education, community and home support they need to thrive.
Living Independently
We offer a range of services that enable people to stay living at home and connected to their community:
Connected with the community
Ruils community and befriending services enable people to engage in accessible, peer led activities in their community. Activities include: community choir, allotment, creative writing, mental health support group, Breathworks & Mindfulness, art groups and theatre workshops.
Community Voice
Ruils peer led community involvement groups Your Say and the Richmond Transport and Mobility Forum ensure disabled people’s voices are heard and that these views influence local decision-making. Additionally, they collaborate with other organisations to campaign for change on a national level.
