Richmond's efforts to improve on carbon emissions and saving schools and businesses money by cutting energy bills have been rewarded.
Richmond Council Cabinet Member Geoff Acton will be presented with the award at The House Of Commons tommorrow (Tuesday 17th November 2009).
It also means Richmond Borough Council's work could be put forward to represent the UK at the Europe-wide Business Awards for the Environment.
What a fantastic accolade that would be for Richmond, and proof that the efforts of many add up to big changes.
More information about Richmond Council's Go Green Campaign can be found on their website at www.richmond.gov.uk/gogreen.
It's worth checking out, as if your business or organisation hasn't yet got involved, you might just find ways to save money - and benefit from Richmond becoming a spearhead for national environmental causes.
