Championing the classic Neapolitan pizza-making process, the new spacious pizzeria is located in an old-converted police station and seats 94 guests. Made from slow-rising sourdough, the pizzas invite locals on a delicious journey using ingredients from UK growers and small scale Italian producers.
Customers can enjoy classic Italian flavours from as little as £4.95, including the return of the spring pizza no. 3 (£7.35) topped with seasonal courgettes, basil, Franco & Lloyd Mozzarella from Somerset, buffalo ricotta and Franco & Cantarelli grana, to the veg and meat specials selected daily by the Head Pizzaiolo.
To fuel guests’ appetite further, Franco Manca has recently added two new small bites to its menu; focaccia made from pizza dough, fresh rosemary, sprinkled with coarse salt and a drizzle of organic olive oil, plus baked spicy lamb sausage cooked in organic tomato with a touch of buffalo ricotta.
Franco Manca also offers a handpicked range of organic and natural wines, as well as the pizzeria's own No Logo beer, pale ale and cider, to be enjoyed with guests’ meals.
Christian Pompetti, Restaurant Manager at Franco Manca Richmond, said: “With Richmond's vast green parks and riverside views, it is the perfect spot to enjoy a Neapolitan sourdough pizza before a stroll. We look forward to introducing residents and visitors alike to the best pizza in town!”.
Located less than 10 minutes away from Richmond tube station, the new pizzeria follows recent openings for Franco Manca, including Bournemouth and Brighton Marina, with further expansion plans for later this year.
