By now you should be aware of Richmond upon Thames Council's Go Green scheme - here's another project within it you might be interested in.
Richmond Council have prepared a series of FREE training events, covering a range of environmental areas, to help local businesses improve their green performance and save money.
There will be seminars on energy and resource efficiency, and more detailed training aimed at helping businesses to introduce a full Environmental Management System for their company. An effective EMF enables monitoring of performance and acts as a concrete demonstration of increased sustainability.
The Council have made much recently about their own improvements to streamline their efficiency, and by all accounts want to pass this knowledge onto other organisations within their borough.
The idea throughout the latest scheme is to have a programme of awards and merits issued to improving businesses, which will obviously add to their green credentials.
The events will kick off in April, and following sessions will develop the project further. There's a full list on the Council website www.richmond.gov.uk/gogreen along with further information about the Go Green Richmond Upon Thames scheme.
To good a chance to miss it think.
