Transport throughout London will be under considerable pressure during the Olympic period. With so much going on in the borough there will inevitably be an impact on both local roads and public transport.
How might that affect you as a local resident?
All of the cycling events will take place on roads in Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington, Hampton Court, and Hampton Wick.
Depending on the event, the route and surrounding roads will be closed to traffic but emergency and essential local services and access will be maintained as far as possible. Parking along the routes will also be suspended.
