London 2012 Olympic Games
The London 2012 Olympic Games are proving to be as exciting as promised with new venues announced regularly. People all over the UK are encouraged to get involved in some way and there are endless opportunities for participation.

The venues for the sailing event are Weymouth and Portland and the key dates for your diary Sunday 29 July – Saturday 11 August for 14 days of competitive sailing. There are 10 main events with 380 Athletes taking part with a variety of craft from dinghies and keelboats to windsurfing boards.
Each event consists of a series of races. Points in each race are awarded according to position: the winner gets one point, the second-placed finisher scores two, and so on. The medal race follows the final race, for which points are doubled. Following the medal race, the individual or crew with the fewest total points will be declared the winner.
