Older people will take centre stage next month when the Full of Life Week launches a raft of fun activities.

Whether you like sitting back and enjoying a cuppa and a chat, having a dance, honing your IT skills, or going for a leisurely walk around Bushy Park – there’s something for everyone.

Richmond Council’s Full of Life Week kicks off from Sunday, October 4 to Friday to Friday, October 9. The fun begins with Afternoon Tea – Ritz style at Lynde House Care Home, Cambridge Park from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, October 4. The event is free – like all the others. 

Highlights of the week include: 

·         Digital Champions, Dean Road, Hampton, 10am to 1pm, Monday, October 5. Learn more about the social and financial benefits of surfing the web.

·         Circular Walk in Bushy Park, 2pm, Monday, October 5. Pheasantry Welcome Centre Car Park. Bushy Park.

·         Love Later Life, Wednesday, October 7, 11am to 4pm. Age UK Richmond provides activities and advice, designed to show the many ways to Love Later Life.

Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services, Cllr David Marlow, said: 

“We want all our older residents to love later life and take advantage of all the wonderful services the Council and our partners provide with them in mind. Full of Life Week is about having fun, getting out and about, meeting new people and exploring the borough.”
