Fans will be able to apply for tickets for the Rugby World Cup 2015 from 10am on 12th September 2014 when they go on sale to the general public. Up to one million tickets will go on general sale during the application window which closes on 29 September 2014.
Matches or price categories that are oversubscribed will go to ballot so that tickets are fairly allocated and fans will find out which tickets they’ve been successful in purchasing in October 2014.
Twickenham Stadium will host the opening match, four pool phase matches, two quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the Final of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
How to apply for tickets
1. Plan Your Tournament
Browse through the Tournament Schedule (see PDF at the bottom of this page) and select the matches, number of tickets and price categories you wish to apply for.
For most matches your can apply for a maximum of 4 tickets, though there will be 15 matches where you can apply for up to 15 tickets. Only one application per person can be submitted, so choose your matches and price categories carefully. You can edit or withdraw your application at any time during the application window.
2. Create Your Account

3. Booking options
Look out for these two special features that could help you to secure your tickets:
I. Match Manager
Your application specifies which matches you want to attend, but you can use the Match Manager tool to set the maximum number of matches you are willing to purchase through the ballot. This helps to manage your potential spend by limiting the number of matches you are allocated.
II. Increase Your Chances
Opt to ‘Increase Your Chances’ when you apply and if the price category you have selected for a particular match is oversubscribed then you will be allocated tickets for the next highest price category.
4. Submit application
When you have completed your application, click on Submit Application.
