It was great to see the leaflet which came through my door the the day telling me that my bins would be emptied on the Saturday after Christmas day and after New Years day.
Last year was abit of a shambles, we were overflowing after Christmas and had to go to the tip with bags of rubbish, It wasn't too hard I suppose but not everyone will have made the effort.
If you usually get your bins emptied on what will be a festive day and you didn't get a leaflet telling you when to put your bins out the council website has a page where you can enter your postcode and house number and it will tell you.
The tips on Chichester St and Spring Vale in Middleton is open for the boxes and other stuff you want to recycle.
They are open every day except Christmas day and New Years Day
The winter opening times are Monday - Saturday 8am till 6pm and 10am till 4pm an Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The tips or recycling centres as they are now known do get really busy so here are a few tips for the tip.
We are getting better at recycling , lets carry on.
