Staff, Volunteers and supporters of Let’s Talk Partnership attended the event, celebrating one year of partnership success! Over the past year Let’s Talk have provided a wrap around service to those who need it most.
The evening was opened by Lynne Stafford Chief Executive of the lead partner Gaddum Centre, followed by Ian Mello, Director of Commissioning and Provider Management of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group. He gave a presentation on the future direction of health & wellbeing for across the borough.
The partnership handed out certificates celebrating the work and commitment of volunteers and staff achievement. Members of the partnership voted for Volunteer & employee of the year.
Volunteer of the year was voted for via a survey sent out across the partnership- all feedback was shared on the day, with some very proud faces visible in the audience! The award was given to two volunteers: Chris Egerton of Recovery Republic and Lynne Lister of Gaddum Centre. Employee of the year was awarded To Khaldha Manzoor of Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association.
Students who recently achieved the level 2 Introduction to Counselling skills and Level 2 Effective Listening Skills were awarded their certificates as part of the celebration.
Copies of the year’s evaluation report were available to all. The report reflected service uses experience:
“As the counselling went on I started taking pleasure in things again, the garden and little things like that and I knew I was on the mend.”
And also what it is like to work together in such a new and innovative partnership:
“I feel really proud and privileged to be part of it really. It’s been a really good experience to be part of it. To be able to go on the website and think- ‘oh I’m part of this’. It just feels really good.”
An exciting evening was had by all. Here’s to another year!
