From Oulder Hill to St Cuthberts, Falinge to Hollingworth High, Beech House to Whitworth, you girls are growing up fast and leaving high school. This means more things than GCSES; it means it is time for glitz and glam and looking lovely for a leavers’ ball. Whilst you work hard for those qualifications, let www.thebestof/rochdale.co.uk take away some stress and help you with your prom plans..
P: Preen –
Belles of the ball will know the importance of preening. Greg Couzens will style your hair beautifully and is based right in the town centre! Ask for an elegant up-do, perhaps in a doughnut bun or with wedding style curls. Your tan should be subtle, try sun-kissed rather than that you’ve been tangoed! Less is more. If you opt for acrylics, tips are always a winner. If you fancy something a little different, go for 50s-esque pastel colours, pretty patterns and feature nails. There are many salons that offer these packages for deliciously cheap deals – keep an eye out and book in advance!
R: Related –
Corsages are quite an American concept, but then again – so is a prom! Rochdale is ready for beautiful flowers, worn around the wrist. Boys you should buy some for your dates, have a look at Funky Floral
Limos are a novelty, and always popular for proms. If you’re feeling a little quirky, go for a different mode of transport, like a big red bus to hire with your peers.
O: Outfit -
Dresses are so difficult to decide upon. A long dress is beautiful and princess-like but be careful as there is danger it could be a one trick pony. Look for dresses you may wear twice, ones you can have altered and shortened to wear for other events. Pastels and 50s are currently on trend, btu glitz and glam is forever popular.
M: Magical -
Have a magical time and enjoy! Work hard with your exams and then you are free, you can play hard and party hard as princesses at your prom.
